Department of ENT

The Department of ENT & Head and Neck surgery is started with one unit. The post graduate DLO course started in the year 1965 with two seats. The post graduate MS degree course started in 1966.

Dept of ENT is equipped with operating microscope for micro ear surgeries, Endoscopes for nose and sinus surgeries and microlaringeal surgery. Some more equipment like paediatric bronchoscopes and nasal endoscopes are expected to be purchased by the present Superintendent, GGH, Kurnool.

A good number of micro ear surgeries (about 30/month), endoscopic operations (about 20/month), endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment are being done in the Dept. At present dept of ENT is having 2 units with 60 beds and 2 professors, one Associate Professors, 4 Asst professors and one Senior Resident. The PG Admissions increase from 2 to 6 M.S ENT and one DLO
